My name is Humphrey B Bear (the "B" stands for Bear, some people think that's a funny name 'Humphrey Bear Bear' - but I quite like it). I live in the Magic Forest where the trees are blue and oranges, lemons and apples can all grow on the same tree! It's amazing. In fact anything can happen, and often does in the Magic Forest. I am four Magic Forest years old. I am not sure what that is in human years because the grand Keeper of Time in the Magic Forest keeps changing her mind but I do know that being four is the best number of all. I have lots of friends in the Magic Forest. One of my favourite things is dancing and singing with my friend, the Magic Forest Clock. "Clock" is so funny and he can really dance very well and he can tell the time. I am still learning to tell the time. I am doing really well with the "hours" but I am struggling with the "half hours".

Another thing I love doing in the Magic Forest (well anywhere really) is eating honey. I love honey. That's why I love the Magic Forest bees, they make all the honey in the Magic Forest. I am very careful with the bees. I don't go near their hives and I would never touch a bee. They sting! We have a computer in the Magic Forest. It's blue and it talks! Yes my computer talks. Her name is "Dot" and she is so clever. Lots of my friends send me emails and Dot helps me to write back. I am too young to be on the computer on my own. Because I am four there are lots of things that I cannot do yet. But that doesn't mean I don't try. I try to hop. Sometimes I can, sometimes I fall over. I would like to learn to ride a bike - but I don't own one yet. I am learning to swim and it is taking forever but I keep practising.

I love picking flowers and would love to dig in the Magic Forest garden but I am not allowed to use any of the sharp gardening tools as I might hurt myself. Also, if one of my friends copied me they might hurt themselves too. I would hate that. I like playing dress-ups. I have lots of different things to wear. But of course my favourite outfit is my checkered vest and big yellow tie. I always have to wear my hat and that's OK because I think it looks really smart.
